What is Travelbility and why is it different from other travel insurance?

Most travel insurance providers do not cover people who are disabled or who have pre-existing medical conditions. The few who do offer cover usually charge high premiums and have restrictive and confusing terms and conditions. Travelbility makes obtaining comprehensive cover for those with pre-existing conditions simple and stress-free.

What is a pre-existing medical condition?

a) Any respiratory condition (relating to the lungs or breathing), heart condition, stroke or cancer for which you have ever received treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations by your doctor or a consultant/specialist and prescribed drugs or medication)
b) Any medical condition for which you have received surgery, in-patient treatment or investigations in a hospital or clinic within the last six months.

What medical conditions do you cover?

Travelbility will cover the vast majority of medical conditions and disabilities. When you apply for a quotation we ask you to supply your full medical history so we can provide you with accurate and complete cover in case of any problems whilst you are away. Some examples of conditions we are able to offer cover for are shown in our Medical Conditions section.

Am I eligible for cover?

Travelbility is available to you if you are permanently resident in the United Kingdom and registered with a Medical Practitioner in the United Kingdom.

What is medical screening?

In the process of us providing you with a quotation we may need to ask further questions in order to provide you with the correct cover for your personal circumstances. The process is automated and in most cases we can usually give you an immediate response. In a large number of cases we may not need to go through the full screening process as many conditions do not require further questions.

Are there any age limits?

The policy is available to all persons under the age of 79 for single trip policies and under 69 for annual multi-trip policies.

How long can a single trip policy be?

The standard period is up to 94 days.

How long can a trip be during a annual multi-trip policy?

The maximum period for each individual trip during the year is 31 days.

How do i add another person to my policy?
